Medical Information
If your child is unwell, you need to inform us by 9.00am at the latest. The easiest way to do this is to complete the online absence form.
You can also leave a message on the 24 hour absence line on 01784 227960, however it can sometimes be difficult to hear all of your message particularly if you are calling on a mobile phone, so please do consider completing the online form instead.
If you do leave a message, please give as much information as possible with regards to your child's symptoms rather than just saying they are unwell.
Should your child have any special medical conditions, which may affect them whilst at school or on a visit, please ensure that you have notified the school office and their class teacher. Please complete an online form for updating your child's medication if it is given at school e.g. Inhalers
We understand that from time to time your child may require antibiotics, if this is the case please could we ask that you complete the above online form.
Antibiotics can only be administered in school if they are required to be taken 4 times per day.
In addition, if your child contracts an infectious disease such as whooping cough, measles, mumps or chicken pox, etc. please check with your medical practitioner to establish when it is safe for your child to return to school without putting other children or adults at risk.
There are also those occasions when you discover that your child has caught nits or worms, etc. In these instances we would appreciate if you could let the school know so that we can send out information advising other parents to check their children and treat them accordingly. However, in order to reduce the spread, we do suggest that you check your children on a regular basis.
